  • Welcome to PM Jordan EHSS Gemba System. The controls are carried out at intervals determined by the relevant departments. The control report is shared with the area owners. Action plan follow-ups are carried out by the area owners.

Emergency Preparedness Requirements

  • Are there any fire hydrant, hose rails or fire Extinguisher Blocked?

  • Are there any Emergency Doors Blocked?

  • Are fire extinguishers in the appropriate position and ready to use?

  • Are all fire extinguisher signage available and visible?

  • Are operators trained on the usage of emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, fire hydrants)? (Ask to the employee)

  • Are all fire extinguisher signage available and visible?

  • Are fire hoses available and working properly?(Test Randomly)

  • Are the operators aware of the accident reporting procedure? (Ask to the operator)

  • Adequate direction notices for fire exits?

  • Exit doors easily opened from inside?

Electrical Safety Requirements

  • Are all the electrical cabinets locked and without any obstacles to access them?

  • Do all the electrical cabinets have identified lock out/tag out (LOTO) points?

  • Do all the electrical cabinets have relevant warning labels?

  • Are all the electrical wires, sockets safe to use? (No bandage, not broken, no added cables, no unsafe connections?)

  • Is Safe work instruction available, visible and are employees trained on them?(Ask to the employee)

First Aid Requirements

  • Are the employees aware of how to reach first aid equipment?(Ask to the employee)

  • Are the employees aware of whom is the first aider at their areas/shifts?(Ask to the employee)

  • Are all employees aware of their part in case first aid case?Ask to the employee)

  • Are employees aware of emergency or clinic number?(Ask to the employee)

  • Is First Aid kit label / signage available and visible?

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements

  • Are employees know the place of storing PPEs incase of loss or defect?(Ask to the employee)

  • Do the employees use relevent personel protection equipments (Safety Shoes, Earplugs,Gloves,Masks etc.)?

  • Are all mandatory PPEs signage / label available and visible?

  • Is there any specified place for storing PPEs related to work at height, confined spaces, cleaning operations?

Machine Safety Requirements

  • Are the warning signs and safe work practices available and visible on the machines? (Ask to the employees.)

  • Are the guards available? Are all the interlocks working properly?(Check Randomly)

  • Are any point of operation, power transmission apparatus and other moving parts visible and not protected?(Check Randomly)

  • Are any activities include exposure to blades, rotating motion, transverse motion (movement in a straight, continuous line), shearing action, bending action, punching action and cutting action?

Chemical Safety Requirements

  • Are MSDSs available at the chemical usage areas? (Ask to the employee)

  • Are emergency showers and eye washers available and working properly?(Test Randomly)

  • Are employees aware of the nearest chemical spillage kit and how to use it? (Ask to the employee.)

  • Are flammable and combustible materials stored in the proper cabinets?

  • Are any chemical material container present without label?

Contractor Management Requirements

  • Is there any contractor work on site? Is the work permit relevant to the work or not?

Work At Height Requirements

  • Are portable ladders secured, stable and available upon need?(Check the rails, stairs, wheels and locks)

  • Are all fixed ladders provided with handrails and safe to use?

  • Is work at height safe work instruction available and visible?

  • Are all work at height activities performed in the area known?

  • Are employees performing any activities or tasks in elevated level without using the appropriate tools?

Ergonomics Requirements

  • Are there any unacceptable ergonomics risk at the area?

  • Are there any repetitive and prolonged activities done by the employee?

  • Do employees work according to the general ergonomic rules?

  • Are any activities done by the worker that require to manually lift heavy objects?

  • Are any activities involve the operator to lift from High Shelves?

Site Level Transportation & Warehouse Safety Requirements

  • Are the materials stored on the racks at higher levels protected against falling? Are the racks fixated on the walls?

  • Are all forklifts, Stacker and hand pallets in a good conditions?

  • Does the Forklift Driver use the Horn when driving through intersections / Junction Points?

  • Does the Driver Know the Maximum Capacity of the Forklift? Does the driver Know the Weight of the lifted material?(Ask to the employee.)

  • Are all locations which have forklift, truck traffic, and provide suitable warning signs/labels/notices?

  • Are there any obstacles in material handling equipment route?

  • Are floors and road surfaces smooth with sufficient surface grip for personnel, mobile equipment and vehicles under both wet and dry conditions ?

  • Is pedestrian Routes specified and separated from material handling equipment movement?

  • Is lighting sufficient in loading, unloading, storage, moving machines, rest area, offices ?

Enviromantal Requirements

  • Waste Separation / Collection Bins located at suitable points around site?

  • Waste Separation / Collection Waste segregated properly?

  • Are enviromantal risk assessments available at the area?(Ask to the employee)

  • Are enviromental work instructions for transportation of hazardous material available?

  • Are there no water leakage at the area?

  • Are there no pressurized air leakage at the area?
