Horticultural Care (Garden Bed Areas)

  • Is the garden bed weed free? Weeds larger than 5cm or close to plants must be hand pulled, weeds below 5cm to be sprayed.

  • Has care been taken to ensure that no desirable plants have herbicide damage? Either due to spray drift or weeds sprayed within desirable plants.

  • Have all the spent flower heads and dead leaf matter been removed? As per contract and species requirements.

  • Is the garden bed free of dead plants?

  • Has the design intent been maintained? Via regular pruning or plant replacement.

  • Are the plants free of pests and disease infestations?

  • Have the Indigenous Shrubs been tip pruned to prevent them from becoming leggy?

  • Have the ground covers and grasses been pruned back from pathways or turf areas to remove trip hazards?

  • Have the Lomandra (or other grasses) been trimmed as required by contract?

  • Have the gardens been mulched as per contract requirements, with no mulch in contact with the plants?

  • Have the gardens been fertilised uniformly as per contract requirements?

  • Has the irrigation system been maintained and adjusted to ensure each plant receives sufficient water?

  • Have the irrigation lines all been buried by soil or mulch?
