1. Before You Start STOP and ask the below Questions

  • Are you at the correct site, item of plant or location?

  • Do you have the right documentation for the job?

  • Have YOU received a briefing on the referenced RAMS

  • Have You undertaken site induction?

  • Do you have the right personal protective equipment (PPE) for the job?

  • Could improvements be made?

  • Are you competent and correctly trained to carry out the task?

  • Have the RAMS been revised to include the improvements?

  • Was a Toolbox Talk carried out?

  • If you have answered ‘No’ to any of the above, take the required action or report to your supervisor.
    If in doubt always ask!

2. Think - Safety and health assessment
