Safety Guidelines

  • Schedule work with the occupants and operating staff

  • Review and follow manufacturer's O&M instructions

  • Report any equipment damage or deficiencies

  • Note and list results in the equipment maintenance log

Maintenance Procedures

  • Clean and Inspect Roll-Up Door:

  • Clean sprockets, chain drive and door track

  • Inspect barrel assembly, sprockets, chain drive, and door tracks for broken or damaged parts

  • Check for broken end locks and proper side clearance of door curtain. Replace broken end locks before operating door to prevent jamming.

  • Lubricate Roll-Up Door

  • Lubricate gear, chains, shafts, and guides. Do not use too much lubricant

  • Operational Test Roll-Up Door:

  • Remove tags/locks per site safety procedures

  • Operate door and check for alignment or binding during opening/closing cycle

  • Check for balance. Adjust with tension wheel as required

  • Check the self-locking mechanisms for proper operation
