  • Is the operator wearing an appropriate harness? (Fall arrest/ Fall Restraint, lanyard length)

  • How would you rate the overall (visual) condition of the safety harness? (E.g. all buckles ok/ worn correctly/ no cuts damage to webbings/ worn correctly?)

  • Does the Spotter/ banksman know how to work the machine from ground level in case of emergency? (Ask for a talk through the process and/or a demonstration)
