9.0 - Exposure to noise

  • 9.1 - Is there a risk to staff/ students from exposure to noise?<br> Has an assessment of that exposure been made?<br> Is the assessment available in the work area?

13.0 - Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE )

  • 14.3- Is the allowable quantity of flammable liquids held in approved safety containers?

  • 14.4- Is a manifest of dangerous goods kept and available?

  • 14.5- Are there HAZCHEM / warning notices indicating the presence of flammable liquids/ dangerous goods where appropriate?

15.0-Security

  • 15.1- Is access restricted and adequately controlled?

  • 15.2- Are there signs or notices specifying security/access requirements?

  • 15.3- Are there adequate procedures for students working alone or out of hours? (Log books, attendance sheets, security alerted)

  • 15.4- Have Risk Assessments been conducted on the possibility and consequences of unauthorised access, theft or sabotage?

16.0- Working at heights

  • 16.1- Are areas identified where work is required to be undertaken above 2 metres or within close proximity to an unprotected edge?

  • 16.2- Have Risk Assessments of tasks been undertaken and control measures implemented for areas identified above?
