  • 1.01 Is the Tenancy induction register being completed for inductions of tenancy managers.

  • 1.02 Are the tenancy induction forms and tenancy induction register being completed and returned to centre management for each staff member of the individual tenancies?

  • 1.03 Are inductions of tenancy managers and staff members be completed annually?

  • 1.04 Is the centre register of tenants and interested parties maintained for all training provided to tenant managers and staff. Ie fire warden and fire equipment training, compactor and equipment training, centre trolleys and balloon inflator etc.

  • 1.05 Is the centre register of tenants and interested parties up to date for containing all tenancy insurances I.e. public liability insurance etc.

  • 1.06 Does the tenant have a copy of the Retailer site safety induction with in their tenancy?

  • 1.07 Does the tenant have their own evacuation diagram mounted within their tenancy?

  • 1.08 Confirm with the tenant if over the last month, they have had a service contractor complete any works within there tenancy?

  • 1.09 Was the person (service contractor) inducted and did they complete the centre induction form

  • 2.01 Conduct a walk of the tenancy to verify the following

  • 2.02 General check of the tenancy for any noticeable ‘high risk’ activities that may present a danger to the centre I.e. burning candlestick I scent sticks, unprotected bulbs, trip hazards, sharp objects etc.

  • 2.03 General check of all exit and emergency lighting and general warning lights

  • 2.04 General check to confirm that all public access/disable access and egress paths are clear of items that may impede occupant egress.

  • 2.05 Confirm that Emergency Evacuation plans are displayed within the tenancy

  • 2.06 Confirm that a fire extinguisher is available within the tenancy and is within date etc.

  • 2.07 No hazardous, flammable, explosive or highly combustible materials are stored within the tenancy, unless they comply with the dangerous goods regulations 1999.

  • 2.08 General check of the tenancy with high storage shelves to ensure that no stock is packed to within 500mm of the fire sprinklers.

  • 2.09 General review of the tenancies storage and change rooms for fire safety, General tidiness, noticeable defects, trip hazards etc.

  • 2.10 Review mall trade out zone and consider the safety for mall customers - is it safe?

  • 2.11 Review the tenancy build and consider if items require attention. I.e light fittings or ceiling tiles appear to be falling down, cracked and broken floor tiles/trip hazard etc.

  • 2.12 Check tenancy has smoke detection and EWIS speakers installed

  • 2.13 Check autodoor is connected to centre fire system.
