GENERAL

  • Visual inspection of the trailer(i.e. Damage, Cleanliness, Leaks, Tires)

  • Inspect Annual Inspection sticker and form?

  • Inspect mudflaps and bracket condition?

  • Inspect License Plate, date and condition?

Running Gear

  • Inspect Frame Rails?

  • Check the king pin for wear.

Landing Gear

  • Braces and Supports brackets secure?

  • Timing Shaft operation and condition?

  • Crank Handle Inspection?

Inspect Interior

  • Inspect back door condition and operation?

  • Inspect interior walls and floor?

BRAKES AND SUSPENSION

  • Check Brake shoe thickness?

  • Inspect brake drum wear?

  • Check for leaking wheel seals?

  • Make sure all airlines are secured and not rubbing.

  • Shocks, airbags or springs in good condition?

  • Inspect brake components. (Slack adjusters, brake chambers, misc)

LIGHTING AND REFLECTORS

  • Check all lights and signals to make sure they are operating as required.

  • Inspect all reflective tape condition and placement.

TIRES AND WHEELS

  • Inspect the rim condition. Bent, rusted or cracked?

  • Check for miss-matched tread design and height.

  • Check for miss alignment of tires (irregular wear patterns)

  • Inspect tires for side-wall damage, missing chunks or cuts or tread separations

  • Check for proper tire inflation? (95-100psi)

  • Inspect valve stem and cap condition.

Reefer Inspection

  • Check starting operation?

  • Inspect all engine components.

  • Check for Exterior damage?

  • Check for alarm codes?

  • Check for engine leaks?

  • Check fan, drive and alternator belt condition.

  • Inspect the Fuel tank condition and mounting brackets?
