Framing Members

  • Walls framed with correct thickness and layout (16" o.c)<br>

  • If wall is rated, are all rough in boxes treated with fire putty or correct assembly (verify if needed on 1 or 2 hr walls)?

  • Walls stopping above ceiling braced properly?<br>

  • Framing members are not in contact with ductwork or other vibration causing items?

  • Shaft walls sealed and fire sulked at joints?

  • Slip track in place at head of walls if needed?

  • Are door frames installed to correct swing and are double 20 ga. Studs installed (2nd floor only, first floor will be all 20 ga studs)

  • Are framed openings the correct size

  • Are control/expansion joints framed into the wall( no more than 30' apart on walls over 30' long) and horizontal control joints at floor lines where walls are taller than 1 story or in stairwells.

  • Are walls insulated tightly if required?

  • Are wall cavities clean and free of debris/garbage?

  • Are access panel locations and fire ext. locations defined and framed out?

  • Mech,elect and framing inspections completed?

  • If there is vapor barrier, has it been inspected?

  • Electrical, security,data, fire alarm,AV, and controls roughed in the walls?

  • Plumbing and hvac inspected and insulated if required?
