  • In order to ensure compliance with Ryanair procedures, two short self-audit checklists of key items are provided in this document.

    Audits to be conducted weekly, amounting to 10 per month or a maximum 4 weekly.
    For airports with low frequency/number of flights, 10% of flights required per month. E.g. 30 flights per month require 3 audits.

    Local follow up action shall be taken to address any issues arising recorded in the sections provided.
    These audits are required to be kept on file for one year and made available to Ryanair on request.

1 Front of House Questions

  • 1.1 Was Bag Drop desk opened on time, with all signage in place?

  • 1.2 What was the average Bag Drop (total) customer transaction time <30sec?

  • 1.3 Did staff adhere to the Clean Desk Policy?

  • 1.4 Was bag drop closed on time (STD - 40mins)?

  • 1.5, Was Gate Signage, PB/Other Q, barriers in place before STD - 4-, with organised queues?

  • 1.6, Did gate staff commence Pre Q checks at STD - 40?

  • 1.7, Were all 3 checks - Priority/Document/Bag - conducted politely with each customer?

  • 1.8, Were all oversize bags visually identified and checked in the bag sizer (no "Baggage Police")?

  • 1.9, Were gate bag fees charged for bags which did not fit, after customers given the opportunity to repack?

  • 1.10, Did staff request customers to remove all valuable and spare lithium batteries form gate bags/FGBs?

  • 1.11, Did staff complete tags, as required, with sequence number included?

  • 1.12, Did staff do checks for fraudulent priority boarding and inform management as required?

  • 1.14, Were MVMT/LDM/PSM/PTM messages sent on time/accurate? (within 5 mins)

  • Note: Root Cause and Corrective action for all findings must be included on the last sheet of the audit form. Any memo's or documentation issued to address an item should be kept with the audit as part of corrective action evidence.

2 Ramp Operations Questions

  • 2.1, Marshaller in position/stand guidance on and FOD check complete before arrival?

  • 2.2, Equipment parked in designated area and all equipment buffers checked, in place and servicable?

  • 2.3, Was GPU disconnected from towing vehicle and chocked before connecting to aircraft?

  • 2.4, "Brakes set" signal received, chocks inserted, GPU connected? (PLASTIC HOOKS for GPU cable only, metal prohibited)

  • 2.5, No ground staff approached the aircraft until anti-collision lights were off and engines spooled down?

  • 2.6, Was aircraft chocked to minimum requirement? (2 x nose and 2 x mains)

  • 2.7, Was post arrival Walk Around check completed?

  • 2.8, Were PIGs (plastic hooks /clips only) & cones positioned immediately after arrival?

  • 2.9, Was all GSE Marshalled to and from the aircraft and brake test conducted prior to positioning?

  • 2.10, Was 2 metre rule observed by all ground staff and equipment?

  • 2.11, Steps positioned safely to the door at required height? (No touch)

  • 2.12, Baggage Belt positioned safely to the hold and not inside? (No touch)

  • 2.13, Was rear hold checked and offloaded first & all hold nets in place?

  • 2.14, Were aircraft doors and exit paths kept clear of all ground equipment? e.g. Area beneath R1 door

  • 2.15, Were arriving and departing passengers marshalled safely?

  • 2.16, Pushback - was Tug, Tow-bar or TLD safely connected and headset used?

  • 2.17, Power-off - were all chocks and equipment removed to a safe distance pre engine start up?

  • 2.18, Pushback tug free from loose equipment during pushback operations? e.g. Chocks/Cones (always secure them)

  • 2.19, Was walk around completed before push-back commenced?

  • 2.20, Was standard three man push-back in place?

  • 2.21, Was by-pass pin clearly shown to crew before taxi clearance?
