Safe use of plant on site.

Proof of training either CPCS or NPORs cards or smart awards card can be issued at time of audit.

Are the plant and equipment being used in a safe manner and in good working order?

Is the plant being operated by a competent person who is authorised and holds the relevant certification for the work being undertaken?

Has the operator completed a daily check for his plant being used.

Has the operator greased his machine in the past week.

Is the operator wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?

Is there evidence of any leaks (e.g. hydraulic, fuel or water)?

Is the plant being used as per the manufacturer's instructions?

Are all guards and safety devices in place and effective?

Is there any damage to the plant?

Has the plant working amber flashing light when in use.

Do working light work on cab or on boom arm

Is the operator wearing a seat belt when in use.

Is the operator using the plant safely like water suppression etc

Is the plant being filled with any fluids and if so is this done in safe manor with drip tray present?

Do the site team use drip trays when filling.

Does the team have a burns kit in vehicle for emergency use.

Does the trailer have a emergency hand break wire connected or in place for safe use.

Is the floor in trailer in good condition for plant.

Does the trailer have working lights.

Ramp to trailer, if the plant has been offloaded has the ramp been lifted for safe storing as trip hazard for operatives or public unless its inside the site.

Has the plant and vehicle been parked in safe location?

If the vehicle is parked in site segregation. do we have blue arrow and cones around the vehicle

Does the plant get operated on highway to get the digger on trailer? If so does this get escorted down from site to trailer with operatives to make sure no traffic or pedestrians are in the area when moving?

Are the operatives wearing hard hat around plant on site when breaking or digging with digger?

Is spotter wearing suitable flash/Arc flame retardant clothing?

Does the operator have suitable PPE for his task being undertaken.

wearing long sleeve hi vis or jacket?

Are the operatives working around the plant wearing suitable PPE hard hat?
