  • Does Interserve optimise operation of all building engineering systems, including temperature set point control and operational hours to reduce energy and water consumption without compromising operational requirements or reasonable levels of staff comfort

Lightning Protection Systems

  • Does Interserve carry out annual inspections of the lightning protection system in accordance with BS6651

Lifts

  • Does Interserve maintain and test all lifts in accordance with the PPM schedule and ensure that all works are carried out by a specialist contractor

  • Does Interserve check all emergency facilities including auto diallers and response practices

Maintenance of Standby Generators

  • Does Interserve carry out routine PPM tasks on the standby generators

  • Does Interserve test run the generators (off load and full load) in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure they will be available when required

Management of Plant Room Keys and Access

  • Does Interserve check and manage the schedule of keys and access devices

  • Does Interserve take full responsibility for the safe custody of keys and access devices to all plant rooms, access provision and the erection and maintenance of appropriate signage

  • Does Interserve carry out an annual audit of all keys and access devices and report any discrepancies to the Authority

Local Extract Ventilation

  • Are LEV systems, including fume cupboards and safety cabinets inspected every 6 months in accordance with HSG258
