SFG20 Procedure - Sanitary-ware

Basins and sinks

  • Check traps and overflows are free from obstructions/soap build-up etc.

  • Check operation of taps, ensure plug and chain are secure.

  • Clean limescale from tap aerators.

  • Check for leaks and damage.

  • Check condition of soap dispensers for correct operation, if applicable.

  • Check security of all fixings and brackets.

Water closets

  • Check for leaks and damage.

  • Check tightness of seat and flap, flush and check water action around bowl rim.

  • Check water level in cistern and adjust float valve as necessary.

  • Check for satisfactory cistern fill time.

  • Check overflows or overflow vision panels, where applicable.

  • Check operation of Automatic controls and sensors.

  • Check that there are no obstructions.

  • Check cisterns operation and if necessary replace washer on intake float valve.

  • Check water level in cistern and adjust float valve as necessary.

  • Check security of all fixings and brackets.

Shower rooms

  • Check shower trays for any damage.

  • Check shower heads and hose for damage and build up of limescale.

  • Check mixer taps for any leaks or damage.

  • Check shower screens for any leak or damage.

  • Check security of all fixings and brackets.

  • Check water action around the waste trap and water flow for blockages.
