Precautions

  • A portable fire extinguisher is immediately accessible

  • Smoke detectors are isolated, if applicable

The above items have been jointly reviewed with the Strongbuild supervisor and trade supervisor/worker. If any of the above conditions change during the execution of the works the worker has agreed to stop work and notify the Strongbuild supervisor and implement any agreed control measures.

Progressive Inspections - If the Hot Work Permit is issued for consecutive days then a Pre-Start Inspection must be completed each morning to ensure the initial control measures remain in place and a Post Work inspection must be conducted no less then 30 minutes after the task is completed to ensure there is no possible source of ignition.
