  • Has the team gave safe place for pedestrians to cross road for closed footway to other footway, please show pictures of these crossing points to make sure they have drop kerbs. If no dropped kerbs then we require ramps to be installed. Please show evidence of these crossing points.

  • Has the site a permit board and has it got the correct Permit number, please take picture of permit board.

  • Are barriers segregating the works all securely connected to each other and no open gaps to allow public to access the site?

SLG condition of all items on site.

  • Are the signs in good condition and clearly visible ?

  • Are all cones in good condition and less than 30% damage to cone sleeves and cones structure

  • Has sand bags been used for signs to stop them being blown over.

  • Does signs have carriageway incursion, if so are cones beside the side of sign of which incursion in highway.

  • Footway ahead closed signs being used if the footway is closed

  • Footway closed sign in use and on all approaches to the site where we closed the footway.

  • Footway not closed then is there safe access past the works of minimum 1.2 to 1m width for safe access past the site, Show picture with tape measure or depth stick as proof.

  • Curtesy board with correct permit number, please take picture.

Traffic light Heads used

  • Do we have any traffic lights on site?

  • Does the traffic lights have a engineer on site?

  • Is there stop and go boards at head positions if the traffic lights were to fail.

  • If we have taken out light heads, has these been covered or turned off

Road closure

  • Do we have a road closure in place?

  • Is the road closure maned by Traffic management team.

  • Are diversion routes clearly signed for alternative routes.

Resident access, footway and driveway boards.

  • Do we have safe access for pedestrians to access their homes or businesses if we have closed their access?

  • Do we have footway and carriageway boards for safe access for residents and businesses

  • Please take picture of any access boards used for safe access.

  • Please show picture of residents access closed with barriers to stop non-authorised access.

  • Do we have any issues with residents with disability of which we require extra assistance?
