Application and fees correct

Extent of works (driveway crossing, pavements, stormwater drainage, tree removal, other structures?)

Check with Civil if sewer manholes and water fixtures located driveways

Check location of verge trees, manholes and kerb inlet pits, light poles, etc

Two separated driveways can be permitted subject to assessment of site specific factors including development type, road hierarchy, street parking considerations and Council Policies – only one permitted in Lennox Head village

Long-term, all weather materials to be used for crossing (concrete, asphalt or bitumen are OK). Check with Civil for anything else

Site plan with location of the proposed driveways (width dimensioned, or plan to scale preferred or other wise mark up plan)

Any proposed restoration of existing surfaces or services that are likely to be damaged

Longitudinal section with gradients to Northern Rivers Local Government Standard Drawings from the garage to the kerb (shouldn’t be necessary unless the change in levels is more than 1.0m)

Location and height of any proposed retaining walls if adjoining the driveway and not constructed in the road reserve.

Driveways square to the road and not encroach on neighbouring frontages

Minimum 6.0 m from tangent of a corner

Minimum gap of 6.0m between driveways where possible to facilitate parking

A minimum offset of 0.5m from common property boundaries

AS 2890.1 sight lines to fences and gates. Gates are to slide or open inward

Footpaths can be removed or retained. Where removed the grade and crossfall of the pre-existing footpath is to be maintained. In some cases additional footpath may need to be removed. Condition to be applied

Only minor reshaping of ground levels within the road reserve are permitted and battered smoothly to maintain acceptable standards for pedestrians (Condition to be applied)
