A. Basic Shop Safety

  • 1. Are Exit signs visible?

  • 2. Are walkways, working platforms, and exits free from obstructions & misc. debris?

C. Electrical

  • 1. Are GFCI outlets >6' of a water source?

  • 2. Are electrical panels unobstructed (at least 36")?

  • 3. Electrical cords and plugs in proper working order? (no frays, taped, spliced or missing grounds)

  • 4. Electrical receptacles in good workign order?

D. Maintenance and Parts

  • 1. Doors and locks in good working order?

  • 2. Ceiling tiles intact, in place and undamaged?

  • 3. Windows free from damage and in good working order?

  • 4. Air conditioning vents/ducts clean?

  • 5. Machine parts stored in organized/orderly fashion?

  • 6. Aisles/walkways clear of obstructions?

  • 7. Exits clearly marked?

  • 8. Outsider lights in good working order?

  • 9. Exterior of building free of safety concerns?

  • 10. Fabrication yard clean and organized?
