  • Area is clean and tidy. There are no abandoned trolleys and the area is generally free of rubbish. Line marking is in good order and lighting levels are appropriate.

  • Selection of trolley's, including baby capsule trolleys are available for customers. They are clean and in good working order

Store General

  • Store area in general is easy to navigate. Floor stacks and off location displays are neat tidy and ticketed and floors are cleaned to a high standard

  • All Current Promotional themes ( For example Christmas, Easter, Gigantic Sale) are current and they are tied up as per pocket planner. There are current catalogues available at, or as close to, the store entry as possible

  • All front and back page catalogues lines are prominently displayed ( Gondola End, Off Location Display, Promotional Bay) and ticketed

  • Checkouts are spotlessly clean and free of dirt and grime. The area around the checkouts is neat, clean and free of dumped cartons and stock. Impulse bar fixtures are neat, tidy and full.

  • Stock quality is excellent and stock levels are relevant to both time of day and day of week requirements. There are minimal Out of Stocks and promotional ticketing and tie up are good.

  • Excellent housekeeping standards are evident on floors and fixtures. There is no build up of dirt or grime on fixtures and displays and "clean as you go" processes are in place.

  • There is no out of date stock on show. The store is able to demonstrate how this is controlled and maintained. A check of the fresh cuts section shows that rotation principle's are in place.

  • There are minimal (less than 50) Out of Stocks across the department that are not warehouse unavailable. The store team has a plan in place to address these OOS's in a timely manner.

  • Gondola ends and off location displays are as per current catalogues and promotional campaigns. Stock levels are adequate and they are neat, tidy and correctly ticketed.

  • Department is faced up and tidy. All products have current shelf labels and promotional ticketing as required. Fixtures and shelves are clean and capping is neat, tidy and well controlled.

  • Planograms are current and store is ranging products as per the current planograms available on Retail Space

Dairy & Freezer

  • There are minimal (less than 20) Out of Stocks across the department that are not warehouse unavailable. The store team has a plan in place to address these OOS's in a timely manner.

  • Department is faced up and tidy. All products have current shelf labels and promotional ticketing as required

  • Planograms are current and store is ranging products as per the current planograms available on Retail Space.

  • There is no out of date stock on show. There is a well controlled process in place to manage use by dates in the department. A check of the yoghurt, milk and creams section shows that excellent rotation practises are in place.

  • Fixtures, stripping and shelves (including milk fridges) are spotlessly clean
