  • The Shop Visit Assessment is a way to check all of the basics are done and company standards are being met. It also gives the opportunity to get into the competitive spirit with colleagues in other locations as there will be prizes for the best reports!
    The will be 6 assessments carried out per shop per year and each time the results will be put into the "Super Computer" to generate a score.
    A copy of the report will be emailed to the Branch Manager, Area Manger & Commercial Manager so all will be aware of the current score for rewards and any areas that need work for future visits.
    At the end of the year, shops will be ranked according to their Shop Assessments and there will be a special prize for the Manager and Team who finish Top!

  • Operator of the Week advertised prominently?

  • Front of Shop and Pavement directly in front free of weeds/litter?

  • Shop Front/Window Clean?

  • Any exterior land/parking area to the back of the shop in a clean & tidy condition?

Shop Floor

  • Shop Floor Clean & Tidy?

  • Are Brochure Racks stocked and Preferred Suppliers at eye level?

  • Shop Floor free of deliveries, Surplus brochures put away in back office?

  • Staff Presentation Standards Met? Uniform/Name Badges

  • Desks clear of Staff food & drink? (A plain mug or glass is acceptable)

FX Bureau

  • Door to Bureau secure?

  • Is the Bureau clean & tidy?

  • Is the Till Count up-to-date (within a week)?

  • Are competitors rates being regularly checked and reported to HO? (0 = Never, 10 = Always)

  • Are all Staff Member bureau trained? (MA's are exempt)

Back Office

  • Is the door to the Back Office secure?

  • Is the Back Office clean & tidy?

  • Are Target Posters displayed & up-to-date?

  • Are old customer files removed from the plastic wallets and boxed ready for secure disposal?

  • Are all Fire Exits clear and free from obstruction?

Sales Performance

  • How is the branch Retail performance YTD?

  • How is the branch FX performance YTD?

  • How is the branch Combined Income performance YTD?

  • How are the team performing against individual targets YTD?

  • Are there any staff members on lower than 50% of individual target? (N/A if employed for less than 3 months)

  • Are there any staff members in the TOP 10 Sellers?

  • Are there any staff members on more than 200% of Target?

Administration & Compliance

  • Are Rota's completed and submitted by deadline? (0 = Never, 10 = Always)

  • Are Exception Reports being kept to a minimum?

  • In the past 2 months, have there been any complaints relating to the branch/staff (Not Tour Op related)?

  • Are the Enquiry options being used on Travel Cat?

  • Have all team members passed their Insurance exam?

Marketing

  • Is the branch using Social Media (FB & Instagram) and keeping profiles/posts up-to-date?

  • Are the company brand guidelines being followed on social media, in store and shop windows?

  • Does the branch have any of it's own Promotional Events planned?

  • Are holiday offers being uploaded to the TH Website? (0 = Never, 10 = Regularly)

  • Is the branch involved in any local marketing? (If yes, please give details)

  • Have any Team Members submitted a Travel Journal in the past 2 months?

Maintenance Report

  • Any exterior maintenance problems to report?

  • Any interior building maintenance problems to report?

  • Any decor issues to report?

  • Any furniture issues to report?

  • Any IT/Phone Issues to report? (must be specific and current)

  • Is CCTV working? (If applicable)

  • Are all lights working?
