Site Closure Safety Inspection Checklist

Are site boundary fence checked and secure, with appropriate warning signs displayed?

Are all footpaths bordering the site (including temporary ones) free of all debris and obstructions? Is width and ground suitable for wheelchair use (min 1200mm)?

Have all excavations, openings and unauthorised areas been fenced off or securely covered as appropriate, and warning signs in place?

Is all plant parked safely, securely locked with keys removed?

Have items of small plant and hand tools been returned to the correct yard or secured as appropriate?

Are all materials stored safely?

Are all waste skips emptied and any accumulated waste removed that could be set on fire?

Have scaffolds been cleared of debris and excess materials?

Has access to scaffolds been prevented by removing or closing off ladders? (Ladders must be secured to prevent unauthorised use)

Have all other means of access to height (Stairs, towers, podiums, MEWPS) been secured to prevent unauthorised access?

Is any traffic management set-up correctly, with any cones, signs etc. clean and visible?

Have site offices and welfare facilities been cleaned with bins emptied and unused food disposed of?

Have water supplies to site accommodation been turned off to prevent against pipes bursting?

Is Site Emergency number established and known to all team members?
