Section 1 Exterior & Forecourt

  • Is all Signage Ok with all lights operating. Has any broken siganage being reported?

  • Is there a bin available and is the area free of litter?

  • Is there poster holders outside? If so are they are being used?

  • Are there towels available on the forecourt?

  • Is the air or water working if applicable?

  • Are all pumps working? Are they clean?

  • All poster sites / overbags in use? Are current overbags in place?

  • Is bulk fuel adequately displayed? Is it clearly priced and available?

  • Are the opening hours dispalyed in a clear place on entrance? Christmas opening hours??

Section 2 - Entrance

  • Was there a clean slip mat at the door?

  • WAS THERE A WOW FACTOR?

  • Strong VALUE & FRESH message evident on entrance/

  • Were sufficient baskets/trolleys available & dual sited? Were leaflets in baskets?

  • Are the windows and doors free of any posters & notices?

  • Was the shop clean and tidy and clear of obstruction?

  • HOW MANY ITEMS WERE OUT OF STOCK? MORE 10?

  • Was there evidence of face of culture?

  • Did each item have an SEL? How Many Missing??<br>

  • Are promotion items highlighted with relevant POS - bus stops and underlays etc

  • Are all promotion bays set up with current high volume promos and are the ends impactful?

  • Was produced well displayed, priced and in good condition?

  • Is there a core range of produce? i.e. Potatoes, bananas, onions, carrots, apples, oranges etc

  • Background music played at an appropriate level?

  • Is the retailer Milk deal advertised inside and outside?

  • Was the Product of the Week set up at the till area?

Section 4 - Promotional & Impulse Activities

  • Are all EDV lines highlighted with POS? Is EDV Value message evident in store?

  • Were all promtions available as per leaflet and accompaied by printed POS?

  • Were promotional leaflets available in baskets, magazines, news papers & put into bags

  • Did the shop have clip strips displayed around the shop?

  • Were all floor stacks and dump baskets merchandised to a high standard with POS?

Section 5

  • Was the reduction Policy evident? (25% cuts x 3 times daily)

  • Is the manager aware of their latest score on the door result and have they got an action plan?

  • Are staff training records up to date?

  • Has all training courses been attended where applicable?

  • Is the Dairy / fresh person aware of key promotions and wekend specials?

  • Were enough staff minimising queue to 2 per lane during vist?

  • Was the till area tidy and incluttered?

  • Did staff immediately acknowledge customers?

  • Did the staff at the till pack the goods carefully?

  • Did they say please and thank you during a transaction?

  • Do they deliver great service? (nothing to much bother!)
