Part 1 - Stop For A Moment

  • This Dynamic Risk Assessment is only suitable for short duration (1 day), low hazard tasks. It is essential that it is completed in it's entirety and before starting work. The risk assessment must be task and site specific and carried out where the tasks is to be completed. You must be trained to carry out risk assessments to be able to undertake this dynamic risk assessment. If you are unsure on any part of carrying out the risk assessments and that the residual risk is low, take advice from Tom Mickleburgh or contact your competent Health & Safety Practitioner.

  • Is the work area barriered off with signage?

  • Is the task clearly defined and is the right documentation and instruction in place and been briefed to those carrying out the work?

  • Have all personnel carrying out the tasks had sufficient training and, been approved as a competent person to perform the tasks?

  • Are the required permits to work, power isolation, emergency plans and temporary warning signs in place?

  • Do all personnel have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for the job and been trained in it's use?

  • Is all equipment including hand tools, power tools and extension leads in good condition and tested where applicable (e.g. PAT tested)?

  • Have all access equipment been inspected/tested (in date thorough examination & pre-use inspection today)?

  • If you have answered 'NO' to any of the above, take the required action or report it to Tom Mickleburgh / Client Supervisor for advice - If in doubt always ask!
