Weekly Supervisor Inspection

Is their safe access and egress to/ from site?

Are there suitable and sufficient RAMS in place for the work being carried out and have they been briefed out to all personnel who are carrying the work out?

Check all RAMS that are live are on site. Are they all present?

Is housekeeping in good order

Is work segregated and work at height with sufficient exclusion zone and signage in a prominent position?

Is any equipment used to work at height in a safe condition- e.g toe boards and guard rails in place and where required inspected and tagged?

Is work at height being carried out safely, including all tools tethered?

Is dust controlled, where required to wear RPE are they face fit tested to the mask worn and clean shaven?

Is vibration monitored, managed & controlled?

Is noise controlled and where required HPD being worn?

Is mandatory and task specific PPE being worn by all personnel and in good condition? Carry out a complete inspection on one SP worker.

What PPE is not being worn / not in good condition?

Are all personnel carrying out tasks that require kevlar sleeves to be worn are wearing them? (using Utility Knives and / or handling metal)

Are mechanical means used to lift / move where possible?

Is manual handling being carried out safely?

Has equipment had daily pre-use checks? Recorded for MEWPS / Aluminium Towers

What are the next due date for MEWPS thorough examination certificate?

Are tools and equipment in good condition?

What equipment is not in good condition?

Are all Utility / Stanley Knives in use retractable?

Weekly check 3 items are PAT tested

What equipment has not been PA Tested?

Is everyone working safely?

Is the site safe from congestion?

Where is the congestion on site?

Are there any sub-contractors working for SP on site during the inspection?

Which Sub-contractors are on site?

What work are they carrying out?

Do they have a Supervisor?

Are the sub-contractors RAMS on site, been approved and working as per the RAMS?, including PPE requirements, working safely and compliance with all site rules? Send all actions to the sub-contractors supervisor.

Ask 1 worker if they have any concerns or suggestions? - encourage a response but if none state 'None' in comments.

A minimum of 4 photographs must be taken in the weekly supervisor inspection (if this is not permitted by the client - state this in the comments), a comment is required on each of the questions in the inspection.
