• Welcome to Sundown Pastoral Company Pty Ltd (SPC).
  SPC comprises of the following farms :
  
  Keytah, Blairmore West, Cudgildool, Wathagar and Woodcourt. Maps are attached for your reference.
  The health and safety of all the people who work and live on this farm is the most important responsibility that we all share.
  Each work place must have rules and guidelines to ensure that safe work practices are carried out. Your safety is as much your responsibility as it is ours.
  
  Communication is a key factor in a safe work environment. If you see a problem or a potential problem please report it to the Management.
  
  The following are the working practice arrangements that we see as important for ensuring the health and safety of workers and others on this property.
  
  Please read this electronic document carefully, completing and signing this document is a legally binding. If you do not understand any section, please ask for an explanation .
  
  As the contractor, we ask you to include this information in the information that you give to all workers in your team. Extra copies are available.

1. REPORTING HAZARDS ON THE FARM

• We have already made a check of this farm to identify hazards to workers and others, and we are working to continually improve the working environment to prevent injury and illness.
  We ask that you report hazards that you and your workers notice, to the owner / manager, and we will welcome your suggestions for how to reduce the risk of injury I illness.

2. HAZARDS ON THE FARM

• A set of DANGER ZONE maps are attached. Marked on these maps you will find hazards that we have identified, which may affect the work that you do on the farm, or may be particularly hazardous to your operation.
  These include:
  Channels, head ditches , drop boxes (concrete structures in tail drains), tight corners, blind spots on bends and dams.
  Other hazards, not identified on the maps include:
  * Overhead powerlines * Dusty conditions
  While every attempt has been made to cover all areas of DANGER, be reminded that any irrigation farm is a DANGER ZONE .

3. ACCESS TO AREAS OF THE FARM

• The tracks and roads on this farm are not made to public road standards. The speed limit on farm is 80 km and in all complex areas is 40 km. If conditions are not appropriate please slow down . If you are new to the farms, please drive with caution .
  Persons found to be travelling at speeds in excess of these limits will face disciplinary action.
  Any person driving in a field that is being harvested, will slow down, proceed with caution, give way to machinery and be aware of ground crew .
  Seat belts are fitted to vehicles for a good reason; ensure they are worn at all times .
  Driving whilst intoxicated (either by alcohol or drugs) or driving in a dangerous manner on SPC property is grounds for instant dismissal.
  All travel of contractors and visitors on private roads is done so at the user's risk.
  SPC will maintain the standard of the roads to the best of its ability but undertake no responsibility in the event of a private vehicle or a contractor accident on such roads.

EMERGENCY ARRANGEMENTS

• In the case of an emergency, call "000" for the fire brigade, ambulance or police.
  First aid kits are located in each SPC workshop, Management vehicle and at the Keytah Office.
