1. Organisation

  • Bin Content - Scan 3 random units from Men's, Women's & Kids. Are they all in their listed locations?

  • Are weekly bin audits being completed and displayed?

  • Is the delivery area clear and free of obstructions?

  • Does the delivery area have a clear, obstruction free access route?

  • Is the processing area positioned as close as possible to the delivery area?

  • Is the processing area clean, tidy and free from any loose or pre-processed items?

  • Is there enough tags available to process any potential incoming deliveries?

  • Is there evidence of a clear stockroom layout with a functioning numerical system?

  • Does the stockroom run in order, coinciding with the proximity of the sales floor? <br>1. Bestselling categories - The more you sell, the closer it should be to the salesfloor (eg. Originals FTW Men)<br>2. All other Footwear products.<br>3. Accessories & equipment

  • Does the layout of the stockroom run in division?<br>1. Product Type: FTW, APP, ACC<br>2. By category: Originals, Outdoor, Performance, ect.<br>3. Split by Gender (Men, Women, Kids)<br>4. Sort products by size

  • Is there a stockroom plan visible to visually represent numbered racks, bins & shelves?

  • Ask a member of staff from the department to demonstrate the difference between a rack, a bin and a shelf

  • Does the following numerical system apply;<br>Number 1 rack closest to the salesfloor?<br>Number 1 bin closest to the salesfloor?<br>Number 1 shelf closest to the bottom?

  • Are end of racking whiteboards visible, in good condition, and accurate in accordance with the product categories that they should be representing? (All vacant space must be marked with a sticker)

  • Are footwear boxes in the racking stacked to the correct height to ensure no damage to boxes or product?

  • Are footwear boxes in the racking arranged in size order for fast selection?

2. Processes

  • Is the delivery area empty, clean and ready for a delivery?

  • Have all cartons on todays delivery been scanned, counted and inspected for any potential discrepancies?

  • Has a Replen report or Radio Replen been completed in the AM to ensure full size and product range?

  • Check 5 random styles on the SF and BOH for tagging standards. Tagging should always be through the top eyelet of the right shoe unless instructed otherwise.

  • If the racks are higher than 2 metres, do you have a step stool available near by? (You need to plan one step stool for each rack corridor)

  • If the racks are higher than 2.5 metres, do you have a ladder available near by? (You need one ladder for FTW)

  • Is there a plastic bag/bin available next to the processing table?
