GENERAL INSPECTION CATAGORIES ALL AREAS

Floors, Aisles, Thoroughfares & Walkways

  • All areas are to be clear of trash, spillage and debris.

  • Pallets situated adjacent to these areas do not have exposed nails protruding out to include pallets on racking as well as on the floor, single or multi-stacked

  • Walk through all areas to check that all floor surfaces do not present a slip, trip or fall hazard. (e.g. cracks, spills, holes, debris )

  • All large cracks and holes are filled in to provide a smooth surface

  • The graded dirt areas (fire escape route -makai wall) outside are smooth. Any holes are filled in to provide a smooth surface

Plumbing

  • Walk through warehouse and check floor between and on products for water leakage from pipes above.

Storage Racking-Using order picker go up and down along storage racking to insure the following

  • Cross Beams - Are straight and fully seated into upright.

  • Grates/Wire Decking - All are fully seated on cross beam.

  • Uprights - Are straight and anchored down with two bolts into the concrete floor.

Lighting

  • Check that all lights bulbs are functioning.

  • Protective tube shields or covers are in place on light fixtures.

Electrical-Outlets 01-Outside the storage closet adjacent to the rear restrooms (2) 240V four wire

  • These outlets are not in use. (old forklift chargers) Check that nothing is plugged into these outlets.

  • Is clear of any flammable objects.

Electrical- Light Switches-Rear exit/entrance door next to fire extinguisher number one (3 switches)

  • Check for proper operation

  • Switch has cover plate securely affixed

  • Electrical wires leading to or behind switch are not exposed
