Entry, Unloading/Loading & Road Rules

Entry to the feedmill is located at Geo-Way road, you must entry via this point and park in the truck bay before proceeding.

Chanel 30 on UHF is the Rivalea Feedmill Weighbridge frequency, you must call the weighbridge with your name, freight company, and pick-up load/Delivery product before proceeding to load or unload products.

When onsite you must have high-vis vest/clothing and steel cap boots. The speed limit is 15 kph and must be adhered to at all times.

When weighing onto the weigh bridge all incoming trucks must weigh in using the inwards weighbridge, singles and 19m b doubles can fit on the weighbridge but B doubles and road trains must be split weighed. Use the yellow beacon light on the weighbridge as a guide for when to move forward.

Enter the weighbridge via the designated entry points only. Raw material & bag deliveries enter via entry point 1, Outwards pick up loads enter via entry point 2.

Raw materials like grain and canola meal will be directed to the pits listed in the photos, ensure all pit surrounding areas are left clean. Sweep and shovel all spilled raw materials into the pit, spilled feed should be shoveled and cleaned immediately into the designated bin in the outloading area.

The control room truck office is where you grab your picking slips for loading and delivery instructions. You will need to communicate with the shift supervisor what bin you require. List the name of the feed and the diet code to the shift supervisor and he will turn on your required bin.

Weighbridge operators are to direct you to which side of the of the outloading bins you will be loading from. The left lane houses bins 1-8 & 19-30, the right lane houses bins 9-18. There is a 4 metre clearance on both sides.

Under no circumstances are you allowed on top of your truck while in the outloading area. Access to truck tops must be done in the truck parking bay or away from the loading area. Safety rails must be raised.

When leaving the feedmill, singles and 19 meter B doubles can use the outwards bridge to weigh out, Longer vehicles must renter via the truck bay entrance. All free trade deliveries will require lab testing, park your truck in the truck bay entrance when grabbing all required paperwork. Raw materials and other deliveries can grab their weighbridge paperwork while the truck is being weighed out.

Walkways: you must always use the designated walkways and footpaths when moving onsite, it is prohibited to walk across roadways, laneways driveways outside of these paths.

Amenities/Smoking Areas
Amenities

Truck drivers have a designated amenities area. Toilets, showers, and a lunchroom are provided here for all drivers to use, please keep these clean and report any damage or malfunctioning equipment. None Rivalea employees should not enter the Rivalea amenities block.

Truck Wash: The Truck wash is located near the maintenance shed near bulkhead 2. to access this you require permission from the weighbridge operator to ensure traffic congestion is kept to a minimum. Leave the area clean and tidy after use, report any equipment faults or damage.
Smoking Areas

• The Corowa feedmill has two smoking areas, it is now a requirement of all employees they only smoke in these designated areas.

• The first smoking area is located directly behind the weighbridge this area is clearly marked
-
• The second smoking area is located at the end of the office towards warehouse 3 this area is clearly marked
-
It is the responsibilty of all smokers to keep this area clean and tidy this includes the emptying of ash trays. Cigarette butts must not be left on the ground in these locations

Smoking in prohibited areas can result in disciplinary actions or the banning of smoking on-site.
Emergency Evacuation Plan

The emergency evacuation point is located near the weighbridge office. All Rivalea and non Rivalea employees must assemble at this location if an alarm is activated.

If safe to do so, notify any personnel of the emergency if they have failed to acknowledge the alarm.

Remain at the designated evacuation point until instructed otherwise. You must not renter the site unless an authorized person has given the all clear. Authorized personnel are Fire Wardens & Managers/shift supervisors.

Trucks re-entering site in the truck parking bay must notify the weighbridge and stay off site in the truck entrance unless instructed otherwise.
