Receiving and Sortation

  • Employee has ensured work area is clear of hazards prior to receiving product in?

  • Employee properly sorts sold product from stock product to reduce the number of touches when receiving?

  • When moving large bulk product the employee is using a pallet jack, hand truck, forklift, and not trying to physically handle the product themselves?

Product Storage

  • Employee is using ladder or step stool to get items off the shelf that are higher than shoulder height?

  • Large product such as ladders are being secured during storage to prevent falling or tipping?

  • Employee is securing rod and strut appropriately to prevent hazards during storage?

  • Employee is wearing gloves when handling rod, strut, and pallets?

Loading and Delivery

  • Employee ensures equipment is in proper working condition prior to its use (forklifts, etc)

  • Employee is using hand carts, pallet jacks, to load and unload product?

  • Employee is testing the load prior to lifting it, if load is too heavy they are using team lift or breaking down the package?

  • The employee is properly using PPE such as gloves when handling rod, strut, etc?

  • Employee is using three points of contact when entering and exiting truck beds and elevated surfaces?
