Ramp Observations

  • Is Ramp Team on gate in sufficient time for the arrival/departure ?

  • All equipment outside Clearance Lines during Aircraft Movement?

  • Was FOD Pickup observed during Arrival/Departure Process?

  • Does the agent perform 3 points safety stops while approaching the aircraft ?

  • Failure to provide "chocks-in" signal?

  • Are Chocks being used properly?( Nose gear: 4 chocks, and Main gear: 8 chocks. Inter and outer main gears wheels needs to be chocked)

  • Are Cones being used properly (cones needs to be placed along wing span)

  • Beltloader handrail up?

  • Belt-loader position 2" Clearance, 8-10" above bin floor and not crossing door threshold?

  • Are beltloader chocks properly placed?

  • Was unsecured equipment observed pointing at aircraft?

  • Arrival/Departure Walk-around conducted by KLM agents or engineers?

  • Was a guide person used for all equipment and vehicles approaching the aircraft or reversing from it?

  • Agents observed walking between conveyances, over cart tongues or over tow-bars?

  • Agent observed riding on Container Loader Platform OR Beltloader conveyor?

  • Wing-walkers observed on roadway for arrival/departure using proper hand signals and blocking the traffic?

  • Wing-walkers are using TWO working wands (lite wands at night)?

  • Did you witness any unsafe driving practice around aircraft or under the wings during the offload/load process?

  • Is bin webbing secured in bulk bin before departure?

  • Damaged ULD being used ?

  • Damaged Transporter being used?

  • GSE Staged after use?

  • Was proper chock removal process observed?

  • Was proper disconnect process observed?

  • Is water hose retracted and capped after use?

  • Are Portable GSE units (Air starter, A/C and GPU) connected properly (No 3 points connections)?

Safety Behaviors

  • Seat-belt observation: describe ramp, baggage or transfer

  • Are Seat-belts being used where it is appropriate?

  • Are agents observed transporting baggage on tugs or transporters ?

  • Are carts/transporters observed with tongues down?

General Behavior

  • Be specific about PPE observation. Delta agent, KLM agent or business partner agent?

  • Observed agent without proper PPE (Safety Vest, steel toe shoes and hearing protection) in designated area?

  • Is agent's uniform in compliance with Delta or KLM Brand?

  • Be specific about Electronic device observation. Mark as Ramp/Bag-room/Transfers + location.

  • Observed electronic device being used in operation?

  • Add Comments or concerns. Or add something that was a Safety Observation that you want to highlight
