  • Is the area clear for crane to entre site?

  • Is the area clear for a safe method of work to take place for all persons involved in this task

Task procedure . What dose the task involve?

  • Has the crane operator been informed of the work being undertaken today?

  • Dose the carnage today involve panel lift / install?

  • Proceed to next section

  • Reinforce to all persons on site to stay clear of the panel lifting area. Insure the hazard ID board reflects the work and that all persons are wearing Hard hats , hivis etc.

  • Do you have and understand a propping design?

  • see site Forman prior to starting any lifting. You should have a propping plan

  • Procede

  • Are the panels coming on truck or from on site of casting bed?

  • Inform the truck operator to stay with his Truck at all times.

  • Any assistance with the unloading of panels from the Trailer is to be undertaken only by request by the truck operator. You are to work to there instructions as this is there work area not ours.

  • Insure all lifters and fixings are clear for panel lift.
    Reinforce to all persons involved in the panel lift what there job is.

  • Will the crane be set up in a flat level area by the crane operator?

  • Has the crane operator been given the weights of the items being lifted?

  • Has a single nominated Dogman been selected? and has this person been made known to the crane operator?

  • Do not proceed until a Nominated Dog man has been selected. This can be any of the Task members as long as they are competent. You can nominate 2 persons but this must be made clear to the crane operator and a clear single agreed as to who is the dog man at each point in time..

  • Please note the name of the dogman

Hazard managment

  • Is there any height work involved with the carnage today?

  • Will a Elevated work Platform be used to undertake all height work?

  • Are the operators of the Elevated work platform competent and Trained in the use of the EWP?

  • Proceed

  • See site Forman / Leading hand prior to preceding

  • How will you be managing your height safety?

  • Have all persons involved in the above height safety method been trained and are they competent with the chosen method?

  • Proceed with caution. Insure all safety gear chosen is up to date and Tagged.
    YOU MUST CONFIRM YOUR CHOSEN HEIGHT SAFETY METHOD IS ACCECTABLE WITH THE SITE FORMAN OR LEAING HAND BEFORE STARTING

  • Do not proceed without approval by the site Forman

  • Proceed to the next section
