  • Are electrical cords being elevated or ran along the wall to prevent damage and / or tripping hazards?

  • Are all 120v power supplies connected to a GFCI?

  • Are all electrical splices properly protected?

  • Are all panels, disconnects, and breakers properly protected and labeled?

Fire Protection

  • Are fire extinguishers provided for every 3,000 sq/ft of building space?

  • Are all fire extinguishers inspected frequently, in good working order, and serviced annually?

  • Are the inspection tags attached to all fire extinguishers on site?

  • Are fire extinguishers located in areas that welding or cutting is active?

  • Are evacuation routes posted and all workers are informed of a designated gathering point?

Cranes and Rigging

  • Are cranes inspected on a daily basis and all documentation is filed?

  • Has all certifications for cranes and rigging been turned into Timberlake before start of work?

  • Has rigging equipment been inspected before each use and stored properly?

  • Are proper rigging tags secured to all rigging devices?

Personal Protective Equipment

Pedestrian Protection

  • Is the job site fence installed, inspected, and maintained around the perimeter of the project daily?

  • Are all visitors checking in to field office and signing visitors form with a Timberlake employee present?

  • Are traffic control procedures in place and maintained?

  • Are flaggers being used for work around the road?

Hand and Power Tools

  • Are all hand and power tools inspected and maintained on a daily basis?

  • Are all proper guards in place and maintained on a daily basis?

  • Are power tools grounded (3 prong plug) and / or double insulated?

  • Are all cords in good working condition?

  • Are all documented certifications turned into Timberlake before start of work?

Flammable and Combustible Liquids

  • Are Flammable / Combustible liquids being stored and handled properly?

  • Are all containers properly labeled?

  • Is there a proper fire extinguisher provided within 50ft of any area being used for storage?

  • Is there no smoking / open flame signs secured near all storage areas?

  • Are all flammable / combustible liquids stored at least 10ft from stairwells / elevators / exits?

Signage

  • Are signs adequate to protect the public from job hazards?

  • Are exit signs provided and secured throughout the site?

  • Is safety signage posted on perimeter of the fence near gates?

  • Is the provided Timberlake Construction Signage Package for that site posted?

Implement Protection

  • Is all reinforcing steel less than 54" above working surfaces protected?

  • Are all protruding rods, conduit, or similar devices protected?

  • Are all caps / covers maintained throughout the site on a daily basis?

  • Is all scrap material free of protruding nails or any other puncture hazard?
