  • Below is a list of feature requests ranked in order of priority based on beneficial impact on customer.
These feature improvements would help customers build better iAuditor templates, improve auditor UX and capture better data

1. Questions are limited to max 5 items. Question items are the most powerful feature of iAuditor. UX is perfect for auditing experience (better than multiple choice) but we are limited to max 5 items. There are so many instances where 5-10 responses are needed for scoring, N/A, reference smart fields etc.

  • This is a powerful question item (with up to max 5 responses)

  • This is some background information on how to complete this question. Could be media, link, etc

  • Rank experience (limited to max 5 items, cant put other options in like N/A, Reference, Other)

2. Cannot attach notes and photos to items other than question. This is our most powerful auditing and data capture feature.

  • Rank experience (solves max 5 items, but cant attach notes and photos)

  • Be awesome today (not commonly used but powerful when combined with smartfields)

  • Rank experience. To attach photos and notes, forced to use smartfield and attach media option and notes. More powerful if these attachments were linked to slider

  • Rank experience (enter 1 out of 10). Again no notes and photo, but instead it includes a "barcode scanner" which isn't even able to be added on the platform

3. Number fields are very important

  • Enter meter reading (psi). When used on device, user is forced to switch to number keypad instead of being able to use mobile numpad

  • Enter number of people in household. Lots of room for error here if strings are allowed

  • Enter weight capacity (0 to 1,000 kg). Sliders are not as good as number field pad, good luck with being precise on a phone.

4. Text and information fields are super important for providing information to the auditor

  • [See example of instructions text below, this can get very big. The text field is tiny and not having a WYSWIG editor (bullet points, bold, italic) means we rely on ASCII to create informative information text fields]
    Instructions
    -------------------
    1. Answer "Yes", "No", "N/A" for the questions below
    2. Add any photos and notes by clicking on the paperclip icon
    3. To create a corrective action click on "Add Action", provide a description, assign to a member, set priority and due date
    4. Complete audit by providing digital signature

  • Cannot expand information fields

5. Failed response. Setting failed items has to be done for each individual question. This stops users from widely setting it up. Good solution would be a set all failed items option for custom responses. Customers will have templates with up to 1,000 items - good luck setting failed responses

  • Set a failed response (click it manually)

  • Even for custom responses (set everyone manually, unless you duplicate the question), but if you make a mistake go back and reset every one

6. Header items

  • Document No. fields are advised by customer support team to be removed for all templates. As the default option is device specific, this causes numbering conflicts with completed audits

  • Audit Titles are difficult for customers to understand and include. This is currently free text, the ability to use multiple choice or a document numbering system would be more useful for the Audit Title.

  • Header items can include a maximum of 8 fields before overlapping and causing PDF export issues. This need to be made clear on the dashboard. As customers then go down the rabbit hole of export profiles to customise their cover page

7. Bulk add questions

  • A large proportion of templates built are simple questions but there is a problem of the sheer volume of them. A bulk add question feature would help resolve this. Currently CSV import is the alternative and is very effective for building large repetitive templates. While there is a support page explaining how to build this, I dont see any customers being able to learn it (it is extremely buggy). https://support.safetyculture.com/templates/template-csv-structure/

8. Screen UX

  • Scroll past bottom with CSS please. Extremely challenging to build a template with more than like 15 items and not being able to scroll past bottom of screen. Often you cannot drag items to the bottom of the template to continue building

  • Collapsable categories would make it easier to build larger templates

9. Dynamic fields cant be found in analytics

  • Dynamic fields and analytics. Apparently dynamic field items do not show up in analytics. Workaround is using failed responses

  • Mystery item
  • Can Analytics see what I am doing?

10. Standalone actions would be a powerful feature

  • Add action. This is the current workaround for creating standalone actions (not linked to a specific question)

  • Action
  • Enter action reference number. Then click paperclip icon "Add Action" and assign an action to another member, set priority, due date

11. Multiple choice colour fields are by default white. This makes them look empty on the device and bad UX. Set default color as black or anything other than white

  • Select an option

12. Other minor issues

  • Smart fields don't auto expand when you add one and often you need to click multiple times to expand the smart field to see relevant options

    Screen Shot 2017-08-21 at 3.20.22 pm.png
  • Smartfields and dynamic fields are very frequently used and powerful items but appear at the bottom in advanced. It is also difficult to see them given screen height limitations

  • In preview mode (on platform). The default yes, no, n/a color is different to the RGB color and what actually appears on the device. The custom one is correct, the default one is wrong
