Is the pit compliant with the condition of L4762: "The licensee shall as soon as practicable recover, or remove and dispose of, any liquid resulting from spills or leaks of chemicals including fuel, oil or other hydrocarbons, from inside or outside the low permeability compound(s)."
Is there evidence of rubbish?
Are noxious weeds present, causing harm or risk to the environment?
Is PAF material mined or exposed in this pit?
Waste Dumps
Were waste dumps inspected?
Waste dump:
Is there a bund at the top of the waste dump surface to reduce surface water runoff across the face of the dump?
Base of waste dump constructed with a minimum of 5m of inert waste?
Is the base of the dump surrounded by an access road and windrow, to prevent unauthorised disturbance beyond the approved footprint of the dump?
Is the drainage along the waste dump design to ensure no runoff is not discharged to the environment?
Are noxious weeds present, causing harm or risk to the environment?
Is PAF material stored in this waste dump?
Topsoil, Subsoil and Clearing
Is topsoil and subsoil movements included in the mine plan?
Is clearing included in the mine plans?
Where topsoil and or subsoil stockpiles inspected?
Topsoil/Subsoil Stockpile:
Has the stockpile been dumped to the correct height:
- Topsoil: max 2 metres
- Subsoil: max 10 metres
Is the stockpile signposted?
Have windrows been made of topsoil and subsoil?

Where clearing areas inspected?
Clearing area:
Has the appropriate topsoil and subsoil movement quantities been scheduled into the plan?
