UPS Installation

  • 1. Have you signed in to store ?

  • 7. The UPS MUST be installed below 1250mm. If the existing servers need to be relocated from the MDF cabinet to install the UPS at the base of the MDF cabinet please follow the procedure for relocating existing servers:

  • 9. Please take a picture of where you have installed the UPS PDU?

  • 10. Mount the UPS sliding rails to the cabinet making sure screws are secure as this rail is to take the weight of the UPS. Take a picture?

  • 11. Secure the mounting brackets to the UPS Left/Right and mount the UPS in position within the cabinet. Take a picture?

  • 12. Have you connected the colour leads from the UPS to the UPS PDU and secured with anti tamper clips?

  • 13. Have you contacted the bridge and asked for a port on the MDF switch to connect the UPS with RJ45 cable and let them know that you will be shortly powering down the MDF cabinet?

  • 14. Which port was nominated for the UPS ? Comments?

  • 15. Have you contacted Tesco store support on 014622470870 and let them know store number and that you will be powering down the MDF cabinet temporarily?

  • 16. If Tesco store support have confirmed, we are ready to power down the MDF cabinet and switch power to the new UPS. Please confirm how you have connected the UPS to the mains power supply – commando plug/fused spur?

  • 17. When the new UPS powers up hit enter on English, 230volt – Enter and then escape to main screen and press and hold power button for 5 seconds. This will then activate the UPS unit. Take a picture of the UPS screen when powered up:

  • 18. Is the cabinet switches/servers and equipment now active from the UPS all equipment within the cabinet active?

  • 19. Have you contacted Tesco store support on 014622470870 and let them know that the MDf is now powered up and also confirmed that all LAN equipment is back up and running?

  • 20. Have you contacted Verizon bridge and they can confirm connectivity to instore LAN and new UPS ?

  • 21. Please take a picture of the switch port connecting the UPS in an active state:
