2.1 - AGREED SPECIFICATIONS (BASE)

  • Agreed Tesco Specification must be in place for all launched products

  • Specifications must be agreed in writing by both parties (electronic signatures ok)

  • All TTL specifications are active on or before the point at which products are on sale

  • Where sites transpose information from Tesco Technical Specification to an internal document format, systems must be in place to ensure accuracy of the information and ensure updates are made where applicable (controlled documents)

  • WGLL - The factory specification including photographic standards will be available during each production run

  • WGLL - Photo standards will be of adequate size and quality to be clearly visible by production staff

2.5 - TESCO TECHNICAL LIBRARY: SUPPLIER & SITES AREA (BASE)

  • All details of the supplier and the site record must be complete and accurate (eg address, telephone, plant approval no, spec type, contact roles and details

  • A system must be in place to review and update the information

2.6 - TESCO TECHNICAL LIBRARY: SPECIFICATION AREA (BASE)

  • Tesco Technical Library specifications must be completed to Gold Standard as defined in the User Guides.

  • The appropriate Gold Standard User Guide must be demonstrably in use

  • The person responsible for specification approval must have attended Tesco Gold Standard Specification training

  • Product history must be traceable through the specification history section

  • Site details on the front of the specification must reflect the site where the product is manufactured / packed

  • The specification status must reflect status of the product, eg where a product is delisted, the specification must be removed from Active status

2.7 - TESCO TECHNICAL LIBRARY: ALERTS AREA (BASE)

  • The alerts system is a key communication tool and all Alerts / Requests from the TTL must be responded to within the designated timescale

  • WGLL - The key email contact for the alerts cascades the information to the correct person / department in a timely manner

2.8 - TESCO TECHNICAL LIBRARY: DOCUMENT AREA (BASE)

  • Site Technical must be familiar with the access points fro Tesco documentation and the content relevant for their site, including;

  • Policies, COP and guidelines area

  • Help & guidance area

  • Labelling area

  • Category sharepoint

  • Home page - new policy documents

  • WGLL - Internal procedures make reference to these documents, to demonstrate they have been reviewed

  • Site should be aware and comply with relevant COP

2.9 - TESCO TECHNICAL LIBRARY: MY WORKSPACE (BASE)

  • Site Technical must be familiar with 'My workspace' and respond appropriately to the designated tasks eg. Audit / visit reports
