  • The work is to be planned and carried out in full accordance with the requirements set out in the network rail (level 3) 'working safely at height manual' (NR/I3/MTC/se0220) and the associated 'property works module' (NR/I3/MTC/se0220/05)

  • Check equipment status, make general inspection for signs of damage of defect, inspect for loose fittings, access covers, joints or connections

  • Check alignment & tension of drive belts, adjust of drive belts, adjust as necessary (slight bow to be apparent on slack side of belt when in operation) renew if belts appear worn

  • Check all guards for secure mounting & positioning

  • Lightly lubricate components as necessary (including bearings where not 'sealed for life' items)

  • Check controls for condition and satisfactory operation

  • Check filters/replaced/cleaned

  • Check fan motors and components

  • Check bearings & lubricate fans/motors/damper drives

  • Check resistance of motor windings to earth

  • Check all electrical connections for security

  • Isolate control panel and inspect for signs of overheating

  • Confirm that system operation is in accordance with design parameter - adjust as necessary

  • Check all dampers/grilles

  • Check ductwork for any damages /air leakage

  • Check air flow and record readings

  • Clean down all surfaces of indoor and outdoor units

  • Before photo

  • Within 7 days of completing the service, submit service sheets detailing any outstanding defects to NWR site manager together with the estimate costs to rectify any problems found

  • Any comments/condition report of the asset /recommendations
