Stabilisers

Are bunkering flanges allowing in line sampling during bunker loading?

Are insulation meters in good range for both 220 and 400v?

Is coupling and load sharing system working smoothly in manual and auto mode?

Are safety devices for coupling and load sharing working ? (Reverse power, low/high frequency...)

Are all switch, breaker and various button well identified and tagged?

Emergency switchboard

Are all switchboard in good condition and live equipment well protected?

Are all switchboard equipment operative and free of defects?

Are all switch, breaker and various button well identified and tagged?

Main electrical cabinet for heavy consumers

Are main cabinet in good condition, closed and tight?

Are internal components in good condition, clean, free of rust and humidity?

1.9) Steering gears

Are steering gears free of defect?

Are steering gears hydraulic motors, pumps, piping and hoses in good condition, free of rust, damages and leakage?

Are electrical parts including cabinet in good condition, clean and dry?

Is the system working smoothly, without bump, abnormal vibration or noise?

Is the time for the rudder to move from hard a port to hard starboard less than 28 seconds?

Are safety devices and alarms (low oil level, over load....) working properly and tested regularly?

Is there sufficient stock of hydraulic oil on board?

Is the emergency steering system operative, tested regularly and procedure to use it available?
