Solar Over voltage report for - WST

TECHSAFE AUSTRALIA Overvoltage in a customer's installation caused by Alternative Energy Generation System.

I, the above mentioned, Electrical Inspector have become aware of a voltage above 253Vac, (230Vac + 10%) measured between Active and Earth and Active and Neutral and am obliged to disconnect or cause to be disconnected the source of electricity that is the cause of such excessive voltage. I have followed the below mentioned procedure.

Following a voltage measurement reading performed at any part of the installation that provides a result of a voltage above 253V, measured between Active and Earth and Active and Neutral, an Inspector needs to perform the following procedure:

  • Installation details:

  • Voltage measurement:

  • Date and time measurement was taken:

  • Cloud coverage at the time of measurement:

After the cause of such over voltage was disconnected a 2nd measurement is to be conducted.

If the voltage is now below the maximum limit, Isolate the system with a danger tag.
