Safety Inspection

  • Flag lines have been tightened and are 6ft or greater from the edge of the roof

  • There is a safe pathway from the ladder to the flag line that is corralled off and provides an obvious and protected walkway

  • Is there a secondary means of egress off the roof?

  • Material receiving areas have a flagged off "corral", and anyone working inside of the area is tied off if no guard rails or parapet is in place

  • Tie off points are accessible from the roof access point immediately, and workers don't have to walk to get their ropes

  • All workers outside the flag lines have a harness and are tied off

  • If a safety monitor is being used, there is a written safety plan on site and everyone using the safety monitor system has read and signed it off

  • Ladders are secured and extend 36in above landing, all labels are visible

  • Ladders are inspected for manufacturer's tags and are damage free

  • GFCIs and 12 gauge extension cords are being used and in good condition

  • Cords are protected from sharp edges and other surfaces that may cut them

  • All tools on site are working properly, have all safety switches and guards, and cords are not cut, frayed, or separating

  • All workers wearing proper PPE: hard hats, boots, pants, eye protection, gloves, safety vest, hearing protection, etc. as required

  • Forklift & manlift have had their daily inspection by the foreman and it is documented

  • Forklift & manlift manuals are stored with the equipment and are in good condition (readable)

  • MSDS on site for all caulking, adhesive, paints, torched membranes, and other chemicals

  • Nails, screws, and other sharp items have been cleaned off the roof and grounds

  • Fire extinguishers have been their pin in place and the pressure gauge is in the green

  • Fire extinguishers have their inspection tag signed off monthly

  • Laminated instruction cards are zip tied inside each manlift and forklift?

  • Laminated instruction cards are located on each tri-rex?

  • Instruction cards for temporary roof anchors are readily accessible on the job when being used for fall protection?

Work Progress Report
