Prior to Aircraft Arrival

1. General Duties

  • 1.1 Any delays on aircraft arrival communicated to team

  • 1.2 Leading Hand/Delegate obtained inbound LIR details.

  • 1.3 Team briefed on all inbound load requirements and any special loads.

  • 1.4 Bay set up in preparation for arrival (e.g. dollies, trailers, barrows and other GSE on bay).

  • 1.5 Ramp Staff on bay and prepared for arrival.

  • 1.6 Leading Hand/Delegate possesses an Arrivals Checklist.

  • 1.7 PPE worn in accordance with SOPs.

  • 1.8 Disembarkation method agreed on and communicated to AMCO (e.g. inclement weather).

  • 1.9 Aircraft receiver on bay and completed all checks in accordance with SOPs (e.g. FOD check).

Aircraft Arrival

2. Aircraft Receipt and Door Opening

  • 2.1 Aircraft received using correct equipment/procedures including FOD check prior to arrival.

  • 2.2 Aircraft safely approached in accordance with SOPs for aircraft type <br>(e.g. thumbs up signal received, engines spooled down and beacons off).<br>

  • 2.3 Doors checked for damage before opening in accordance with SOP (Cargo and guest doors).

  • 2.4 Aircraft doors opened correctly in accordance with SOPs for aircraft type <br>(Cargo and guest doors).<br>

3. GSE

  • 3.1 GSE positioned correctly in accordance with SOPs (Including coning and chocking).

  • 3.2 GSE operated correctly in accordance with SOPs <br>(e.g. COS procedures and safety stops completed).<br>

4. Driving Operations

  • 4.1 Tug parked correctly in accordance with SOPs (e.g. tug switched off, handbrake engaged).

  • 4.2 Load secured before towing in accordance with SOPs.

  • 4.3 Driving around the aircraft in accordance with SOPs <br>(e.g. adhering to COS, safety belt worn - if fitted, speed limits).<br>

5. Guest Disembarkation

  • 5.1 Any changes to disembarkation method communicated to cabin crew in accordance with SOPs.

  • 5.2 Marshaller positioned correctly and marshalling equipment used.

  • 5.3 Correct DPL procedures used for SSR disembarkation.

Aircraft Unloading

6. General

  • 6.1 Aircraft unloading sequence adhered to for aircraft type and weather conditions.

  • 6.2 Ramp Staff enter and exit the holds correctly in accordance with SOPs.

  • 6.3 Minimum number of Ramp Staff in hold to safely unload aircraft.

  • 6.4 Crew baggage destination tags checked.

  • 6.5 All priority baggage unloaded first onto barrow, segregated for bag room identification.

  • 6.6 Conx baggage identified and handled accordingly in a timely manner (e.g. short connections)

  • 6.7 Barrows loaded correctly in accordance with SOPs <br>(e.g. handles, fragile items and correct height).<br>

  • 6.8 First bags (inc, all priority) delivered to bag room.

  • Time Bags Delivered:

  • 6.9 Last bags delivered to bag room.

  • Time Bags Delivered:

  • 6.10 ULDs offloaded in accordance with SOPs (including ULD number match LIR entries).

  • 6.11 Restricted items handled in accordance with SOPs (e.g. separated for bag room identification).

  • 6.12 Barrow tarps used in inclement weather.

7. Freight

  • 7.1 Freight matches inbound LIR entries.

  • 7.2 Dangerous Goods match inbound LIR/NOTOC.

  • 7.3 Dangerous Goods checked and unloaded in accordance with SOPs <br>(e.g. orientation, not damaged, correct labelling).<br>

  • 7.4 AVIs unloaded in accordance with SOPs.

  • 7.5 Seafood consignment checked and unloaded in accordance with SOPs (e.g. orientation,<br>correct compartment, correct labelling and packaging, cardboard and plastics used for loading).<br>

  • 7.6 Roller loading panels used in accordance with SOPs.

  • 7.7 Special freight handled and loaded correctly onto the barrow in accordance with SOPs.

  • 7.8 Barrow tarps used in inclement weather.

Post Arrival

8. General Duties

  • 8.1 Holds checked for over carriage (visual inspection done on all aircraft holds).

  • 8.2 Ramp Staff closed all aircraft doors and removed GSE for turns over 60 minutes <br>(aircraft unattended for more than 30 minutes).<br>

  • 8.3 Leading Hand/Delegate completed and filed in all relevant documentation<br>(including relevant flight file documents)<br>
