Health and Safety

  • Are staff wearing the correct PPE (dust mask, hairnet, uniforms, ear plugs, safety boot) attire?

  • Is CLEAN AS YOU GO policy complied to (clean: sweep ups removed, after maintenance work no cut cable ties, nuts and bolts, cleaning tools put back correctly on shadow boards, remaining products removed off line?)

  • Is the hand wash station clean, in good working conditions and with soap liquid and hand towel available?

  • The area is Clean with no DUST and COBWEBS/ weevil webbing accumulation anywhere?

  • No staff with jewelry (ear rings, necklace,rings, nail polish and wrist bands? (Applicable to production and warehouse)

  • No ceramic or glass in the production area (i.e pass the house win)?

  • Are all stock or materials damages or non-conforming stocks stored at the quarantine area with an ON HOLD TAG?

  • No Product Leakage from machine or equipment?

  • Are all monitoring check sheets valid, words visible, clean print, and filled in per frequency correctly?

Spill prevention

  • Is the drain from the bulk Flour compressor room kept clean without any flour residual or rubbish washed down?

  • Is the drain next to control room hand wash clean and without dirt residual or mound?

  • Is drain around the Flour Silo bins clean and free of flour dust and mould growth?

  • Does the water filter unit dosage unit on cyclone floor have a catcher for water spillage or leaks?

  • Is the catcher at the water dosage unit on cyclone floor clean and no mould growth?

  • Are there any activities (eg. decanting or moving chemicals) that could cause an increase risk of causing a spill to storm water? What extra precautions could you take?

  • When was the last time you noticed a spill or a risk that a spill would not be contained? What did you do about it?

Energy, water and waste

  • There is no faulty switch that the machine cannot be easily switched off?

  • Where is compressed air used for in this area? Is there any air leak?

  • Is the any type of waste in this Area?

  • What is causing the waste?

  • Are water taps at the Hand station in good condition and no leakage?

Compliance and neighbours

  • Are there any waste washed down from the ceiling?

  • Is there spillage build up ceiling that needs cleaning?
