There is a clear designated area for delivery and pre-sort in the warehouse

Pre-sort is being completed daily, following the correct operational routines

  • - Pre-sort area set up with cages-plastic, cardboard, hangers, and space for empty trays, dollies & rails whilst working delivery (hanger cage has store name and number on the side ready to return) - Pre-sort is completed 100%, essentials unpacked onto relevant essential back stock, footwear is pre-sorted onto footwear cages - Pre-sort hours account for 20% of F&F hours (this is in addition to the night teams who work essentials and footwear)

All equipment is used for its relevant department

  • - Essential rails only hold essential products - Footwear cages are used to store footwear - Baby packs and packet shirts stored in suitable equipment to replenish from

The organisation of the hanging product is split into product type/department

  • - Womenswear is the lead dept, followed by Kids then Men's - Product is stored in size order and within departments (denim, jersey, smart tops, coats, smart jackets etc.) - MD product grouped by dept. in size at the back of its gender (all women's sale at back of women's FP by dept.; denim, jersey etc.)

Warehouse routines are completed 100% each day

  • - All stock unable to fit on the shop floor is racked into the racking in its designated area - Waste is completed daily - The warehouse equipment is stored correctly - Rubbish Cages are available and emptied at the end of each day - All racking reflects WGLL at all times (Sized, product grouped) - Any labels are reattached to their products

The store is following the complete EPW/NOF process and have a clear holding area identified and labelled

  • - All EPWs are held in the EPW area, with the correct documentation - There are no EPWs out of date - NOF's are processed regularly to check if they have been returned to the system (scanned 3 times through tills and helpdesk called)

The warehouse reflects 'world class standards'

  • - Warehouse is tidy, swept and cleaned daily - There are no stickers on the floor
