Specific risk

  • Asbestos register available and any ACM assessed and in good condition

  • COSHH Assessments are completed for all substances and arrangements identified in place.

Gas and electricity

Carpark

  • Road marking are clear and suitable to demark, parking, walkways and areas to eb kept clear.

  • The road surface is in good order and free from excessive standing water.

  • Cold weather gritting equipment available and being effectively used where needed.

Environment

  • Windows/Doors: check for damage to frames, sills and hinges

  • Windows/ Doors shut when not being used

  • The work environment is suitable with adequate control of temperature, ventilation and noise

DSE

  • Workstations are provided with suitable equipment and generally set up correctly. (this is very basic overview to help pick up areas for full workstation inspections)

  • There is evidence of DSE Assessments for any regular users (use of over hour a day)

Waste

  • There are suitable arrangements for waste collection and disposal

  • All areas are kept clear of large amounts of waste or recycling collections which could pose a risk from access and fire risk

  • Waste register in place identifying all waste providers and final disposal locations.

  • EA permits and licences are held in waste folder with transfer notes.

Others

  • List any other defect or area of concern which has not already been listed

Security

  • Fence is in good state of repair

  • CCTV is in working order and covering relevant points

  • Relevant signage is in place to deter unauthorised access

  • Suitable locks / Chains are in place and used when premises is secured
