WATERCOURSE CROSSING INSPECTION CHECKLIST

  • Weather conditions:

  • Are works occurring at, and within, a watercourse?

  • Has DEHP been notified where works within a watercourse will extend for more than 10 business days?

  • Has notification been given to DAF (Fisheries) regarding works within the watercourse (bankful width) as required under the applicable Accepted Development code?

  • Are all works at, and within, a watercourse being undertaken in accordance with applicable guidelines and codes?

  • Are there adequate silt, erosion and drainage controls (i.e. booms and silt socks etc) in place within the area during the works to minimise turbidity?

  • Have works been timed to avoid periods of high rainfall and increased stream flow?

  • Is a fauna spotter / catcher present during dewatering activities and is the pump adequately screened to prevent aquatic fauna from being sucked up?

  • Are works occurring with minimal disturbance to the area?

  • Have all exclusions and boundary limits been adhered to, including a reduced ROW of 12m-15m?

  • Have all soil/mulch stockpiles and felled vegetation been moved away from the watercourse?

  • Is regular water quality monitoring occurring during all works at end within a watercourse?

  • Is a spill kit suitable for use on water, on site, and operational?
