SITE SAFETY

  • Did Engineers receive induction training prior to works commencing?

  • Where the Engineers conversant of with site rules and procedures including Watermans own?

  • Are the Engineer(s) aware of Site Evacuation Procedures and location of Muster Points?

  • Is the Engineer(s) aware of the location of the First Aid Facility?

  • Is the Engineer(s) Personal First Aid Kit Fully Stocked and in-date including eyewash?

  • Is the Engineer(s) Waterman Id Card available?

  • Are the Engineers complying with the RAMS referenced above?

  • Are Engineer(s) wearing Uniform and all Mandatory PPE? (Safety Boots, Yellow Hi Vis)

  • Is the Engineer(s) mandatory uniform and PPE worn and used correctly?

SAFE WORKING PRACTICES

  • Are all Engineers familiar with Safe Working Practices?

  • If applicable are Trainees being adequately supervised whilst onsite?

  • If applicable, is the work area suitably cordoned off and with signage in place?

  • Is the general works area tidy, free from obstructions and trip hazards with suitable precautions in place?

  • Are RAW materials used and stored safely?

  • Are any pieces of unused equipment stored correctly. i.e. Ladders to reduce risk to others?

  • Are Plants, Wildlife or the General Environment free from contamination and damage during task?

  • Are all liquid containers inc spray bottles appropriately labelled?

  • Are engineers aware if spillage procedure, have spill kit and poster displayed in the van?

  • Are engineers aware of confined space procedure including the confined space risk assesment?

DOCUMENTATION AND JOB KNOWLEDGE

  • Are all Engineers demonstrating competency and good job knowledge of the job task being undertaken?

  • Have Engineers completed and recorded all required information on the job sheets available?

  • Have Engineers been given the correct job instructions for the task and customer requirements?

  • Have Engineers Completed a dynamic POWRA on arrival to site?

  • Can engineers locate RAMS for the task with ease?

  • Can engineers locate the COSHH/SDS for the task with ease?

  • Can engineers locate external guidance for the task with ease? i.e HSG, BS 8580

  • Is a reactive review competency check required from the findings of this inspection?

  • Is the Camscan process being followed and all hard copy paperwork (no older than 2 weeks) been sent in?
