Weekly Compliance Check

General Site

  • Have all items which have been raised in the previous week's inspection been completed and closed out satisfactorily?

  • Have any new starters commenced employment on site and have they been given a site induction which has been recorded?

  • Is safe access and egress being provided on site for employees, members of the public, plant, and vehicles?

  • Have there been any accidents, incidents, or near misses on site within the last week and have they been suitably communicated to management?

Training and Competency

  • Have all employees had relevant risk assessments communicated to them and has this been recorded?

  • Are there suitable and sufficiently trained first aiders (minimum 2) and fire wardens (minimum 2) present on site at all times?

Plant and Machinery

  • Is all guarding in place on machinery throughout the site?

  • Are emergency stop buttons and interlocks clearly identified, operational and tested?

  • Does plant appear to be in order and operating safely?

  • Do plant operators hold an appropriate and in-date training qualification for the machine they are using?

  • Have daily pre-use inspections been carried out and recorded for plant and machinery in use on site?

PPE & EQUIPMENT

  • Are there suitable and sufficient first aid kits available, fully stocked with in-date items and supplemented by saline eye wash pods?

  • Are all employees on site wearing the correct and appropriate PPE?

  • Are spill kits readily available and suitably stocked?

ENVIRONMENTAL

  • Are waste piles within the size/limits detailed in the Fire Plan according to the Environmental Agency requirements?

  • Is dust suppression equipment in use and functioning correctly?

  • Are gas bottles and cylinders stored in a lockable cage and removed from site for disposal on a regular basis (i.e. monthly)?

OTHER

  • Are welfare facilities suitable and sufficient, and in good order as required?

  • Are site personnel satisfied with SHE arrangements and controls on site?

  • Are all other activities / tasks observed being carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with RSK requirements?
