Ramps, steps and changes from one level to another do not create a trip hazard -visible
No cracks, tears or damage
No spills left uncleansed or slipping hazard.

Group Fitness Rooms / Spin Room / Boxing Studio

Clear from obstacles, floors clean. Electrical cords don’t pose trip hazards/tidy.
Equipment in good condition with safety and Etiquette signs in place.

Staff Room / Offices / Kitchen / Laundry

Storage areas / General Waste

Storage areas designed to minimise lifting and posture issues with no clutter.
All Storage and plant rooms locked at all times
Floor around storage areas clear allowing easy access.
Bins regularly emptied and kept clean. Pest control service in place and no evidence of rodents.

Chemical / Cleaners room

All chemicals in labelled containers and in their allocated storage space. SDS available.
All chemical spray bottles labelled correctly/ Chemicals bunded.
Mops hanging and clean.

Electrical cables / points

No damaged appliances, points, plugs/ Redundant electrical equipment removed from club
Areas around switchboards kept clear 1m- electrical rooms not used for storage
NO electrical equipment in club that belongs to staff/ABN ( phone charger is ok)

Lighting

Bathrooms : Male, Female , Unisex / Relaxation Zones

Toilets and showers clean and area tidy.
Hair dryers / Iron / Straightener cords in good order with leads untangled and filters clean ?
Sauna / Steam room temperature checks completed.daily and area clean and tidy
Relaxation Zone emergency alarms tested monthly, all in good working order with appropriate GL standard signs in place?
Monsoon Shower clean , tiles in good condition ?

Fire equipment / System

All Emergency lights illuminated
All Fire exits not obstructed and clear 2 mtr, are clearly marked and open easily with one action handle ware and no locking device in place ?
Is all Fire equipment serviced, labelled and Metal tags stamped with current test date (6 monthly).?
No items in front of extinguishers or reels ?

First Aid: Defibrillator / First aid kits

Defibrillation in place and in good condition. Green button/light flashes
Reception Portable First aid kit clearly identifiable, note book used and checked monthly - stocked

24/7 Emergency Procedures

Emergency Information Station (EIS) first aid kit / defib in place and well stocked. No missing items.
: Emergency pendants, out of order and intercom in good condition , in place and signed.
: Maintenance / Incident folder includes incident reports (page 1 only) & maintenance form signed off
: Black box secure with no incident inside and Emergency plan in place.
Reception opening and closing checklist available, signed off each day and any actions followed up and signed off on completion.
Emergency intercoms in good condition/not obscured by equipment and signage in place
Current Security provider contact details on entrance door and above security panel.
24/7 Member induction flow chart available and copy held in MC room and Reception for use when inducting members?

Childminding

All areas clean and tidy. Cleaning schedule in place. Check for slips / trip hazards
No choking hazards (small items, thumb tacks not used, specific for under 3 toys out)

ar Park/ Gardens / Pathways

All external lights working.
Pathways in good condition: no trip/ fall hazards-highlighted step edges, no raises uncontrolled
Area clear with no rubbish left lying around, rubbish bin available and emptied frequently Par
Are Parking spaces and speed humps clearly marked and pot holes managed and made visible until repairs are completed ?

Hypox

Area clean and tidy, no items left lying around/Manual handling controls / wet area systems in place for washing suits
Machines and equipment in good condition.
Electrical leads tidy, secure, don’t pose a trip hazard and tested and tagged. Manual handling controls / wet area systems in place for washing suits
Store rooms, consultation rooms and reception area clean and tidy
Chemicals in appropriate place , labelled correctly (away from food) and added to chemical register

Swimming Pool/ Spa

Have all Pool water tests been completed and recorded daily as per legislative requirements ? (4 times high use risk,3 times medium /2 times low use).
Is Rescue device in place and clearly signed along with CPR and general precautions safety signs ( NO Life Guard on duty/ No Jumping, Running etc ) ?
Have all electrical pumps and equipment in pool plant room been tested and in good condition with no leaks?
All Chemicals are bunded with current safety Data Sheets and Personal Protective Equipment readily available ?
Is a chemical spill kit located in Pool Plant room and within easy reach of entrance door to plant room ?
