General Office Areas

  • PCs are centrally located on desks and furniture is in good condition

  • Are lighting levels adequate to task?<br>• Green Stickers – on the lights means that they need to be turned off as per the requests from staff members in that area.<br>• Orange Stickers – on the lights means that there is an issue with the light fitting and our building Ops team are aware of it.

Shared areas

  • Bathrooms are area clean

  • Kitchen area/tea and coffee making facilities clean

  • Dirty dishes or leftover food have not been left out

  • Floor and wall surfaces are clear, in good condition and free of spills

  • Chairs and tables in meeting rooms are in good condition

  • No cords lying across floors/walkway creating tripping hazards

  • Articles in store rooms are stored between shoulder and knee height

Emergency and First Aid Procedures

  • Emergency exits lights are illuminated

  • Emergency evacuation maps are displayed

  • Emergency notice boards are up to date (should be updated quarterly)

  • Duress buttons have been tested and operational (where fitted)

  • First aid kits checked and updated<br>(Kits should be serviced by St Johns every 6 months. Check the service record sticker inside lid. First aid register is no longer used as incidents are reported online)<br>

  • The defibrillator pads are in date and the green battery indicator is flashing (where fitted)
