Standard: Per contract requirements and all SOP's of E-Med.

Purpose: To ensure compliance of Medical operation, Ambulance condition, dispatch, training of paramedics.

Scope: RUL & E-Med Medical Operation

1 Documentation and Procedures

1.1 Is there a procedure manual published and distributed for the MedicalOperations at mine site?

1.1.1 Is the procedure manual approved and up to date?

1.1.2 Is the procedure manual distributed and amendments up to date?

1.2 Is there a procedure manual for the paramedics and their activities?

1.2.1 Is the procedure manual approved and up to date?

1.2.2 Is the procedure manual distributed and amendments up to date?

1.3 Is there a published Work and relieve roster for medical personnel?

1.3.1 Is there a procedure to manage these hours work period records?

1.4 Is there published crew requirements for Medical personnel?

1.4 Is the crew requirements taken into consideration when crew is rostered for Operational duty?

1.5 Is there training records for medical personnel?

1.6 Is there a procedure published for dealing with contagious and infectious diseases?

1.6.1 Is protective gear available for medical personnel for use when transporting infectious or contagious patients?

1.6.2 Is there a quarantine and cleaning procedure for Ambulanse vehicle after a infectious or contagious patient have been transported?

1.7 Is there a published policy regarding transporting next of kin of a patient if the patient is not a minor?

1.8 Is there a published procedure for and a Emergency Response Plan?

1.9 Is there a published procedure for cleaning the ambulance after a medical incident?

1.10 Is there a published procedure for filling the oxygen bottles in the Life Port?

2 Training Records

2.2 Is there a training record for each medical crew member on Medevac duty?

2.2.1 Does the training records comply with the requirements of WWC FOM Part 1, Chapter 9, Annexure C: Curriculum for Medical crew?

2.3 Is there a training record for each ground crew member on Medevac duty?

2.3.1 Is there a record of training for the personnel that fills the oxygen bottles in the Life Port installed in the aircraft?

3 Equipment and Aircraft

3.1 Is there an approved STC or modification of the installed Life Port and other equipment in the aircraft file and/or the POH?

3.2 Is there availability of copies of the relevant procedures for dealing with infectious or contagious diseases?

3.3 Is there a means to secure all loose equipment not used by the medical crew in the cabin during respond?

3.4 Is there an alternate means for providing light in the cabin that does not rely on the vehicles electrical system?

3.4.1 Are spare batteries readily available and checked regularly?

3.5 Are any extra fire extinguishers fitted in the ambulance and are they checked regularly?

3.6 Is each medical crew member issued with a bag/s of medical supplies and equipment and are they checked regularly?

3.6.1 Are records kept to which medical crew member medical supplies and equipment are issued?

3.6.2 Are records kept of medical supplies dispensed to patients?
