  • • Ensure clip strips are recovered and replenished; limit clip strips to top selling items that are seasonally correct and HCF candy • Drug/GM power panels are straight and full, same amount of pegs consistently with one price point with no more than three Stock Keeping Unit (SKU's); power panels merchandised entire length • Single item price end caps that are limited to two SKU's/or same brand • End caps are and full, straight, with adequate number of shelves to fill display, and no dust • J-Hooks are replenished by the vendor and signed correctly; ensure the product is relative to the aisle • Baby racks are straight horizontally and vertically, with lanes for shopping carts • WIC items and baby formula defensive merchandising first of the month • Ensure that shippers or aisle stacks are neat, current, clean and symmetrical • Ensure in the Baby department to remove any mix and match apparel to keep the racks fresh • Cosmetic end caps are boutiqued and full • Tell a story by grouping product together in the raceway • Raceway pallets are straight, neat, current, clean, and symmetrical • Toy end caps are themed with product either by license, season, genre, and brand • Ensure continuously learning and keep current with technology trends (e.g., Entertainment) • Plan new release Tuesday for Entertainment • Ensure magazines, tobacco, and candy are current • Check the variety in the magazines per store demographics • Lobby and outside merchandising needs to be timely, right for the week, day and especially holiday • Outside product must be clean, neat, and symmetrical; especially on the sidewalk • Themed entrance by department • Auxiliary product must be filled and maintained daily (e.g., Produce, Bakery, Grocery)

  • • Attach coupons on applicable items; some items may need coupons to be halved • Signing is visible with correct marketing message; look for right size numbers and missing dollar signs; consistent in height and space on end caps, dump bins, power panels, etc. • Shout price and value with a good quantity of product • Ensure proper signage sizing and message • Check for missing tags and signs on all shelves, end caps, side caps, dump bins, power panels, racks, shippers, clip strips, pegs; all product tagged and signed accordingly • All signs fresh (e.g., outside signs due to weather) • Attribute signing 100% • Needs to tell a story about the season with powerful signing

Re-arrange the product when needed • Drug/GM constantly kept and fresh; product will become stale and need to go to clearance • Control markdowns before and after holiday • Remove any mix and match apparel to keep Baby racks fresh • Always have the same markdown for the entire department • Rotation processes in place for baby food, baby formula, and makeup • Product feedback forms sent to procurement for any product issues
